It's Ok not to be Ok
Are you struggling with anxiety or feeling out of sorts and a little tearful at times, but you cannot put your finger on the reason as to why? Do you find it hard to motivate yourself to get out of bed in the morning - or sleeping more than you "normally" would? Having therapy is the first step to finding out the answers to these questions.

About me and my practice
Hello and welcome to my profile page. I am Cheryl and I am an experienced and qualified Psychotherapist & Counsellor and I provide face to face and online counselling. I understand that entering into therapy can feel a little daunting, especially if you do not like using the phone or sending an email, and the thought of meeting a new person may feel overwhelming. However, I can give you the space to be heard without feeling judged; a space where you can learn to understand yourself and your feelings.
We can all have difficult periods in our lives, and times where we feel overwhelmed or like there is nowhere to turn. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk through your issues, to explore your thoughts and feelings and enable you to develop a better understanding of who you are and why you feel the way that you do.
The kind of therapy I provide gives you the space and time to talk about things at your own pace and within your agenda. I will listen, and hear you in a non-judgemental, safe and confidential environment, where you and your feelings are at the heart of what matters.
You may feel that you do not know where to start or what to say. I am here to enable you to find your place to start, and walk with you until you feel that your journey is at its end. I am passionate about counselling and about helping people to understand their past, their present and their future.
Making that first enquiry is an opportunity to ask any questions, learn more about counselling and see how you feel when talking to me.
I am ready if you are.
Next Steps
I am happy to talk to you about your needs and explain how I work. Call or message, whatever you feel more comfortable with. I look forward to hearing from you.
Experience
Over the span of my career as a counsellor I have worked with people from all over the world and from all walks of life. I have touched on the lives of people from all religions, race, sex and gender and I have worked with a diverse collection of mental health difficulties.
For the last four years I have worked in private practice whilst also working alongside a charity for male survivors of historic sexual abuse.
I offer short and long-term counselling, for as long as you need it. Some people may need some time to heal, whilst others find they only need a few weeks -the length of time you stay in counselling is entirely up to you. I offer a confidential, safe, non-judgemental environment where my focus is to enable you to feel better.
